Inpatient Services The most effective treatment for a child with severe brain injury is a multi-disciplinary approach like that at the Traumatic Brain Injury Program at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children. The program brings together a wide range of medical, rehabilitative, educational, and behavioral treatments to children with complex treatment needs. The team includes Physiatry, Psychiatry, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology, Respiratory Therapy, Nursing, and Neuropsychology. CIMT Camps and Programs St. Mary’s offers intensive therapy programs to help children with a weakened arm or hand regain use and mobility. Camp Helping Hands is held during the summer months and holiday breaks. For more information, please contact 516-621-2681.
