Weather Advisory!

Severe weather is expected to impact the NYC region beginning Thursday, Oct. 1st through Monday, Oct. 5th. The weather system may include flash flooding, river flooding, gusty winds, high surf, beach erosion, and some coastal flooding at high tide. Potential power disruptions are possible due to heavy rains and wind. The impact is expected to be greatest in coastal areas.

Hurricane Joaquin may impact our region early next week. Its forecast is still highly uncertain and is being closely monitored.

Community Programs

St. Mary’s Community Program’s Emergency Plan has been activated. To ensure that our patients and families are safe and prepared, please make sure that you have enough non-perishable food, water, medications, supplies, flashlights and batteries. It is also advisable to keep your cell phone charged.

If you or a family member has life-sustaining equipment, batteries should be charged and generators available for use if power outage occurs. If an emergency situation arises, please call 911. For non-emergencies (heat, power, public transit information), in NYC call 311; in Nassau: 800-315-5153; and in Suffolk: 631-852-4900.
