A Tribute to Nick Cannon
It was a night to remember!
Over 450 supporters and special celebrity guests gathered at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square for A Tribute to Nick Cannon – a benefit concert to raise funds and awareness for St. Mary’s Kids. Multi-faceted entertainer, entrepreneur, and St. Mary’s Board Director Nick Cannon played the dual role of honoree and host for the star-studded evening.
The event featured live musical performances from a host of rising stars, including NCredible artists Kehlani, Kreesha Turner, and 4 Count.
Halfway through the show, Nick was presented with St. Mary’s Tribute Award by Board Chair Stephen Brent Wells and Board Director Cindy Johnson surrounded by St. Mary’s Kids and caregivers. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house when the Alternate Routes performed their hit song, “Nothing More” against a backdrop of a larger than life photo collage of Nick’s frequent visits to our hospital.

The evening continued with special appearances by NFL Hall of Famer Lynn Swann and Miss USA Nia Sanchez. Of course, St. Mary’s Kids got in on the act too, performing original raps and songs. Guests got on their feet and rang out applause as finalists from “America’s Got Talent” Quintavious Johnson and Sons of Serendip closed the show.
St. Mary’s would like to extend special thanks to the presenting sponsors— Hard Rock Cafe New York, JPMorgan Chase and Mercedes-Benz Manhattan and television broadcast media sponsor WNYW FOX 5 for making the event a success.
