Since coming home from the NICU, Harper has faced many challenges, including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, CVI, and more. But with the support of her amazing care team at St. Mary’s, she’s made incredible progress and continues to inspire everyone with her strength and smile. Meet our incredible Grand Marshal, Blake! In March 2025, what started as an ordinary school day turned into something far more serious when Blake’s teachers noticed his balance was off. Within hours, he was rushed to Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center, where doctors discovered a brain tumor that had spread to his spine, requiring emergency surgery. After a long hospital stay, this brave 6-year-old began his recovery at St. Mary’s, smiling, singing, and drumming his way through therapy. His courage and joy have inspired us all. 💙

Meet Our Grand Marshal, Ethan! 💙
Born at just 33 weeks, Ethan entered the world a fighter—and he’s been showing us the true meaning of strength ever since. Diagnosed with a rare genetic condition affecting his heart, kidneys, and development, this extraordinary little boy has already overcome more challenges than most face in a lifetime. After spending 222 days in the NICU and enduring four surgeries—including open-heart surgery at just one month old—Ethan continues to smile, shine, and inspire everyone around him.
Since leaving the NICU, Ethan has found a second home at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children, where he receives expert therapies that help him grow, learn, and thrive. Despite his complex medical needs, Ethan is full of joy. He loves snuggles, dancing to Bruce Springsteen and Beyoncé, and lights up at the sound of familiar voices—especially those of his family and the amazing team at St. Mary’s who care for him each day.
We are honored to have Ethan lead the way as our 2025 Big Hearts Walk Grand Marshal. Ethan reminds us all what it means to be strong, resilient, and full of heart.
