Tia’s Hope, a charitable partner of St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children, was founded in honor of Ms. Tia Palermo, a brave woman who battled non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma for over 11 years and served as an inspiration to many. Tia always felt that there should be something special for children who had to spend part of their youth in a hospital. She took great joy in providing hospitalized kids with special experiences, or as she called them, “Memory Moments”.
With that in mind, Tia’s Hope was established by Tia’s loving family to honor her wish that children have more of these unique and positive memories. Through all the great work and generosity of the Tia’s Hope team, Tia’s legacy continues to brighten the lives of hospitalized children and their families throughout the United States. Thanks to Tia’s Hope, children and families have received all kinds of wonderful support, including gift bags, gift cards, and even trips to sports events! St. Mary’s is greatly appreciative to Tia’s Hope for all the amazing Memory Moments they have been providing to St. Mary’s Kids and their families.
