Broadway Rocks Times Square for St. Mary’s Kids held at Duffy Square included packed crowd of fans and supporters of St. Mary’s Kids and incredible performances from the casts of Broadway plays, “Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark, “Rock of Ages,” “A Christmas Story: The Musical, “and Off-Broadway’s “Bare” and “Forever Dusty.”
Thousands of Times Square pedestrians along with CBS Radio personalities and sponsors, enjoyed the free concert presented by CBS Radio to help raise awareness about the growing number of children with complex medical needs, and to celebrate the soon-to-open Patient Pavilion at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children, New York City’s only pediatric post-acute care hospital dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for children with special needs and their families.
This event is made possible through the collaborative efforts of CBS Radio Group and Clear Channel Outdoor Spectacolor whose screens flank the Pedestrian Plaza. In conjunction with the concert, more than 400 CBS Radio promotional commercials are running across six stations, reaching an audience of more than 20 million over the course of three weeks.
“This day would not be possible without the tremendous support from CBS Radio and all of the Broadway performers who offered their talents for the benefit of New York’s most critically ill and injured children,” said Jeffrey Frerichs, President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children. “We are truly grateful for their efforts.”
