On September 28, 2017 clinicians from St. Mary’s Home Care team partnered with educators from the Asthma Coalition of Queens and with Dr. Micah Resnick, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai for a successful Back-to-School Asthma Awareness event.
NYC Council Member Costa Constantinides was on hand to welcome parents and community members at the Variety Boys and Girls Club of Queens and to lend support to our joint efforts to reduce the burden of asthma in Queens. Attendees were provided with education and self-management tips about how to manage asthma triggers in the home while children with asthma learned about how to better manage their condition through the use of controller medications.
