St. Mary’s Kids at Roslyn is a dynamic therapy center designed to help Long Island’s children achieve their full potential. Our highly skilled pediatric therapists are here to help your child reach every developmental milestone in a fun and kid-friendly atmosphere.
Every child at St. Mary’s Kids is unique, with differing needs, skills, and abilities. Children from newborns to teens come to St. Mary’s for a variety of reasons, including developmental delays, head injuries, and other conditions that impact their development. Our goal is to customize a treatment plan that works for both the child and family. Our practice provides evaluation, consultation, and treatment/rehabilitation services for children with developmental needs.
Early Childhood Services
Early Intervention (EI) for children ages 0-3. Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) for children ages 2-5:
- Multi-disciplinary Evaluation Site
- Sensory Integration Facilities
- Related services provided at our center, in the home, or in the community
- Occupational, Physical, Speech, Feeding Therapies and Social Work
- Developmental and Social Skills groups
- Family and Caregive support groups
- Mommy and Me (parent/child) groups
The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is a public program for children under the age of three who are either suspected of having or at risk for developmental delays or disabilities. EIP is funded byNew YorkStateand county governments. Potentially eligible children must be referred to the Growing Up Healthy Hotline at 800-522-5006 or the program in the county where they reside. EIP services are provided at no cost to parents; health insurance may be used for approved services. When EI services are delivered in child care settings or community locations that require a fee, the parent is responsible for paying any costs associated with such settings. A child’s eligibility for EIP can be determined only by state-approved evaluators under contract. If eligible, the municipality will arrange for service providers to deliver authorized services. All services are identified with the parent and authorized by the county. St. Mary’s Hospital for Children is a NYS approved provider of EI evaluations and services and is under contract with NYS and the following municipalities: NYC,Nassau,Suffolk, andWestchester. Extraordinary Pediatrics, PC, managed by St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children, provides a continuum of services for children five and older. Evaluations and therapy services are available for individuals and all school district needs.

Children may be referred by school districts, physicians, therapists and family members for services at St. Mary’s Kids at Roslyn and Extraordinary Pediatrics, PC. .EI is for children under 3 who are suspected of having a developmental delay or disability and is funded and regulated by NYS and county government. Eligibility is determined by approved NYS EI evaluators. If eligible, there is no out of pocket cost to families, but health insurance may be accessed. Services are identified with the parent and authorized by municipality. St. Mary’s Hospital for Children is a NYS approved provider of EI evaluations and services listed above under contract with NYS.
