Children with special healthcare needs from birth to adolescence and young adults receive intensive rehabilitation, education, and specialized medical care through our inpatient, home care and community programs. St. Mary’s operates various long- and short-term home and community programs, a licensed home care services agency, a certified home healthcare agency, a specialized AIDS home care program, and comprehensive case-management through Care At Home and Medicaid Service Coordination. Additional centers of excellence include Pediatric Day Healthcare Program, Center for Pediatric Feeding Disorders, St. Mary’s Early Education Program (preschool and CPSE), and St. Mary’s Kids at Roslyn, a dynamic therapy center and sensory integration facility

St. Mary’s provides a continuum of care for children after hospitalization for illness or injury or when special services are needed. St. Mary’s offers high quality medical and rehabilitative care in a variety of settings – at the Hospital, in the community, or at home – whichever option best suits the needs of children and their and families.

Home Care

St. Mary’s believes that in many instances, home is the most appropriate care setting for children, allowing them to rehabilitate surrounded by family and loved ones in a familiar environment. Through a vast array of long- and short-term home care programs, St. Mary’s has become the largest provider of home healthcare services to children in New York State.


Caring for 2500 children each day, there’s a good chance St. Mary’s works with families or school districts in your neighborhood. Our Community Programs provide rehabilitation services to help children achieve their personal best. St. Mary’s dynamic therapy center on Long Island, offers an array of therapies and workshops for children, parents, therapists, and educators.
