St. Mary’s provides a continuum of care for children after hospitalization for illness or injury or when special services are needed. St. Mary’s offers high quality medical and rehabilitative care in a variety of settings – at the Hospital, in the community, or at home – whichever option best suits the needs of children and their and families.
Inpatient
Children with special healthcare needs from birth to age eighteen receive complex inpatient medical care and intensive rehabilitation at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children, our 97 bed Queens campus located in the heart of Bayside,NY.
Home Care
St. Mary’s believes that in many instances, home is the most appropriate care setting for children, allowing them to rehabilitate surrounded by family and loved ones in a familiar environment. Through a vast array of long- and short-term home care programs, St. Mary’s has become the largest provider of home healthcare services to children in New York State.
Community
Caring for 4,000 children each day, there’s a good chance St. Mary’s works with families or school districts in your neighborhood. Our Community Programs provide rehabilitation services to help children achieve their personal best. St. Mary’s recently opened a dynamic therapy center on Long Island (links to Roslyn page), offering an array of therapies and workshops for children, parents, therapists, and educators.
