January 21, 2009-The members of The Spirit of Children program presented St. Mary’s Hospital for Children with a $4,220.00 check in support of the hospital’s vital programs and services serving the needs of children battling complex medical and life-limiting conditions.

January 12, 2009-There was a little magic in the air at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children. During their visit to the Bayside hospital, students of Great Neck South Middle School brought a special guest with them to show St. Mary’s kids the impossible really can happen.
Flushing High School Break Dancers Entertain St. Mary’s Kids and Their Families

January 9, 2009-Things were heating up at St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children on Thursday, January 8th, as the students of Flushing High School brought a little dance fever to the Bayside hospital.


Children of St. Mary’s always find a way to reach out and touch our hearts. Inspired by the Starworks Foundation creative expression in arts program, St. Mary’s kids put their deepest thoughts to paper, and in front of families and friends, read their published work from “The World I Know,” Starworks Anthology collection. Filled with mixed emotions, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the children each read their stories of hope and inspiration, ranging from poems, stories, essays, and drawings.
