New York Jets and Sesame Street’s Elmo Bring Holiday Cheer to St. Mary’s

Bayside, NY – Dave Barrett, Ed Blanton, James Dearth, Rashad Moore, CJ Mosley, Hank Poteat, Brad Smith, Sloan Thomas, Jamie Thompson and Stacey Tutt of the New York Jets and Sesame Street’s Elmo visited St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children on Tuesday, December 21, 2006. They delivered toys and autographs to every child in the hospital during their two-hour visit.

Bayside, NY – Kathy Devos, of Whitestone, was one of more than 200 local residents who received their annual flu shots on Wednesday December 6, 2006 and Sunday, December 10, 2006 through a Community Board 11-sponsored flu vaccine drive held at St. Mary’s Healthcare System.

Kids Corner
Children of St. Mary’s always find a way to reach out and touch our hearts. Inspired by the Starworks Foundation creative expression in arts program, St. Mary’s kids put their deepest thoughts to paper, and in front of families and friends, read their published work from “The World I Know,” Starworks Anthology collection. Filled with mixed emotions, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the children each read their stories of hope and inspiration, ranging from poems, stories, essays, and drawings.
