St. Mary’s 2006 Tribute Dinner Becomes Most Successful in the Healthcare System’s History

Bayside, NY – St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children’s annual Tribute Dinner on November 9, 2006 raised $685,000 for needed inpatient, outpatient and home care programs and services provided daily to more than 3,000 children in the New York Metropolitan region and beyond – making it the most successful event in St. Mary’s history.

Fred Badger Receives NYAHSA’s Long Term Care Employee of Distinction Award

Ossining, NY – Long-term St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children Employee Fred Badger was honored with New York Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (NYASHA)’s Long Term Care Employee of Distinction Award on Thursday, November 16, 2006.


Children of St. Mary’s always find a way to reach out and touch our hearts. Inspired by the Starworks Foundation creative expression in arts program, St. Mary’s kids put their deepest thoughts to paper, and in front of families and friends, read their published work from “The World I Know,” Starworks Anthology collection. Filled with mixed emotions, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as the children each read their stories of hope and inspiration, ranging from poems, stories, essays, and drawings.
