Inpatient Services
The most effective treatment for a child with severe brain injury is a multi-disciplinary approach like that at the Traumatic Brain Injury Program at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children. The program brings together a wide range of medical, rehabilitative, educational, and behavioral treatments to children with complex treatment needs. The team includes Physiatry, Psychiatry, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology, Respiratory Therapy, Nursing, and Neuropsychology. CIMT Camps and Programs
St. Mary’s offers intensive therapy programs to help children with a weakened arm or hand regain use and mobility. Camp Helping Hands is held during the summer months and holiday breaks. For more information, please contact 516-621-2681.

Lite Gait Programs
Camp Happy Feet is an innovative program at St. Mary’s that helps children regain use of their legs, building strength and stamina. For more information, please contact 516-621-2681.

Concussion Management for High School Sports A partnership of the New York State Athletic Administrators Association and the New York State Public High School Athletic Association to educate interscholastic athletic personnel, secondary school athletes, parents of the athletes, school nurses and school physicians in current sport concussion management policies and procedures.
