Giving
Bequests—Leave a Legacy

”Where do you find the blessing? When the wind stops blowing or the trees stop whispering? You can find the blessing in your heart.”
—Written by young patients at St. Mary’s
Michael and Danny

Become a member of our Legacy Society by remembering St. Mary’s in your will, estate plan or other long-range financial arrangement. In addition to helping special children throughout the New York City region, your legacy gift can assist you and your family through tax benefits and reduced estate and income taxes.

A bequest can be established easily and is an excellent way to support St. Mary’s future.

Your bequest can leave:

a specific dollar amount or a percentage of the estate or its residue
  a piece of real estate
  an existing life insurance policy
  retirement plan

***Each type of bequest has different advantages and should be thoroughly reviewed with your attorney.

As a member of our Legacy Society you will be recognized:

  with a certificate
on a special plaque displayed in the hospital
  in the Annual Report
  in newsletters
  by special invitations to events
  with tours of the hospital
  And, other benefits.

Perhaps the most important benefit is that you will know that you are providing for our future, helping St. Mary’s strengthen its mission to improve the health and quality of life for children and families with special needs.

If you would like to provide for special children in your will, or, if you have already initiated a bequest to the Foundation, our development office will be happy to discuss and assist you. All inquiries are confidential and place you under no obligation.
