St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children Launches New Holiday Campaign to Support NY’s Sickest Children

Over 30 community groups, local businesses, corporations, friends and supporters of St. Mary’s unite for St. Mary’s Kids Day: A Season of Possibilities

St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children has unveiled a vibrant new year-end campaign —St. Mary’s Kids Day: A Season of Possibilities to celebrate, elevate, and support the brave young children of St. Mary’s. This holiday season, New Yorkers far and wide will unite to support a true New York City institution – St. Mary’s – the city’s oldest children’s hospital that cares for thousands of New York’s sickest and most underserved children each day.

Throughout November and December, St. Mary’s supporters will participate in a range of fundraising and promotion initiatives, to show how committed they are to ensuring that all of New York’s children—regardless of their medical condition or economic status—have access to the best possible care. Over 30 community groups, local businesses, corporations and committed individuals representing retail, restaurant, travel, automotive, banking and other industries have already signed on. Each St. Mary’s Kids Day participant will support the campaign through customized promotions (including point of sale donations and fundraising drives), in-kind donations and awareness-building efforts via social media.

The funds generated will go towards the life-affirming intensive rehabilitation, specialized care, and education programs that St. Mary’s provides to thousands of children with special needs and life-limiting conditions in New York.

“We are very grateful for the commitment and generosity of our supporters who signed on for St. Mary’s Kids Day to raise funds and build awareness for the critical work and specialized programs taking place at St. Mary’s,” said Dr. Edwin Simpser, Interim President and CEO of St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children. “By taking just one day to show their support in ways large and small our St. Mary’s Kids Day champions are making a significant impact in the lives of the children and families we serve.”
