Project Sunshine & BNP Paribas Employee Volunteers Visit St. Mary’s Once Again and Host Halloween Celebration for Patients

BNP Paribas Employees Help Beautify St. Mary’s Hospital for Children In More Ways Than One

Patients of St. Mary’s Hospital for Children spent an afternoon with tricks and treats and lots of Halloween festivities courtesy of Project Sunshine and BNP Paribas employee volunteers.

BNP Paribas, one of the best rated banks in the world and one of the largest international networks with operations in nearly 80 countries and 200,000 employees, teamed up with Project Sunshine, an organization dedicated to providing educational, recreational, and social programs to children facing medical challenges and their families, to host a Halloween celebration with decorations, arts & crafts and lots of laughter, for kids with special needs who may not otherwise experience the joys of the spooky holiday.

Project Sunshine and BNP Paribas’s are no strangers to St. Mary’s as they have visited the hospital in the past and teamed up to bring a day of fun and laughter to patients through activities. They were so overjoyed with their experience and the long-lasting friendships they created, that they promised to come back. They kept that promise.

Volunteers from BNP Paribas were also part of a special project at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children – MillionTreesNYC- an initiative by New York Restoration Project and the City of New York to plant and care for one million new trees throughout the City’s five boroughs by 2017. BNP Paribas not only helped fund the project, but employee volunteers rolled up their sleeves and helped kick off the first in a series of tree plantings at St. Mary’s Bayside campus as part of St. Mary’s new Patient Pavilion to design a landscape that, along with the new-state-of-art rehabilitation facility, will provide St. Mary’s kids with a total-healing environment where they can grow and heal.

Project Sunshine and BNP Paribas are true champions for St. Mary’s Kids!
