Terrace Diner Hosts “Dinner with the Champions” – A Benefit for St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children

Boxing Greats & Local Community Join Forces to Support St. Mary’s Kids

On March 20th, the Terrace Diner of Bayside, in conjunction with Winner Take All Productions, hosted a boxing-themed charity event to benefit St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children. The night featured great food, prizes, and the opportunity to get up close and personal with boxing legends – all to benefit children with special needs and medically complex conditions at St. Mary’s.

“The children of St. Mary’s present a cause that we just had to get involved with and we’re excited to continue this relationship for many years into the future,” said Jimmy Papageorgiou, Co-Owner of the Terrace Diner.

The Terrace Diner dished up an extraordinary five-course dinner with prizes and drawings throughout the evening to help raise funds for St. Mary’s. In addition, Winner Take All Productions assembled a blockbuster lineup of fighters – including two-time former welterweight champion and Olympic gold medalist Mark Breland; former world champions Juan Laporte and Junior Jones; as well as Bayside’s own Fred Liberatore – all of whom share the same concern for the welfare of St. Mary’s Kids.

“As a business in the Bayside/Bay Terrace area we feel it is essential to support great projects like St. Mary’s and help the community in whatever capacity that we can,” said Peter Kaouris, Co-Owner of the Terrace Diner.

The children of St. Mary’s are battling complex medical and life-limiting conditions due to serious illness, injury and complications of premature birth.
